During the 2007 election campaign, the Rudd Government committed $110M toward the duplication of Princes Highway West – between Geelong and Winchelsea.

This commitment amounts to roughly half of the funds necessary to duplicate this section of the highway. Now it is up to the State Government to respond with its share of the cost.

So far the State says it will only commit to 25% of the upgrade, even though the road remains a State responsibility. We plead with the State Government to come up with their ‘Fair Share’ of the funds for the duplication of the Princes Highway West between Geelong and Colac.

Let the State representatives know how important this road is to you and your community!
